Ten artefacts, and what each is for.
A template pack gives you blank forms. This gives you the sequence, the evidence sources, the scale, the finished example and the paperwork the law expects around it.

- The four stages, re-sequenced for someone running it on their own organisation. Where the duty comes from, what discharges it, and the distinction that matters: the duty to assess is law, the Management Standards are the recognised method and are not themselves enforceable.

What rises is how much of the assessor's time comes with it. Prices are totals and include no VAT.

Reviewed is capped at four sessions a month across both kits. An hour on your draft costs half a day once the pre-reading is done, and there is one practitioner.
Files arrive by email within minutes of payment. Read the terms of supply and the refund policy first, particularly if you are buying as an individual rather than for an organisation.
03 — Why not £350
What the cheaper packs are.
There are good template packs at around £350 plus VAT, and free templates from HSE that are worth having. If what you need is a form to fill in, buy one of those. This page would rather say that than take £850 from somebody who needed £350 of help.
What they are is the framework with boxes. What this is: the sequence a commissioned assessment actually follows, the evidence sources for each of the six areas, a scale that forces a position rather than a score, and the finished document so you know what you are aiming at rather than guessing. It is priced at one day of the rate the £6,500 assessment is derived from.
And no VAT is added. Against a competitor quoting plus VAT, an organisation that cannot recover it — most charities, much of the NHS — is comparing £850 with £420, not £350.
04 — What it is not
A kit cannot be independent of you.
It does not make you independent; it makes you thorough. The duty to assess is yours either way and a self-run assessment discharges it. What it cannot produce is a conclusion that survives a reader who suspects you wrote it about yourself: a claim, a tender, an inspection, a board that did not commission the work.
